Kombucha is a beverage that has gained popularity in recent years and has many health benefits.

Gagan Grewal, the CEO of Drink Mindset, wanted to create a drink that made you feel good without any negative effects.

His team used a scientific approach and invested in creating their own CBD emulsion, which gives them precise control over the onset and efficacy. Because of that focus, they’re now in the process of starting a new partnership within the healthcare space.

“The idea came from a personal desire for a drink that I could enjoy at any time of the day that focused solely on CBD,” Grewal said.

“I couldn’t find what I was looking for in the market, and I wanted something I could have more than one a day without it impacting me in a negative way or stopping me from being productive. Something healthier while steering clear of ingredients like Stevia.”

The concept started back in 2021. They spent more than one year getting the flavour profiles right and experimented with over 90 iterations. It’s currently in the last stages of development and aim to launch in British Columbia before the end of 2023.

It has recently been accepted in Ontario and the official launch is set for the January 2024.

Drink Mindset insisted on producing the drink locally to have a hands-on approach to crafting the product. They weren’t getting the flexibility they needed by working with other co-packers and the costs were too high.

“By staying local and building out our own facility, we’ve been able to create strong partnerships,” Grewal said.

“This also allowed us to support and collaborate with other non-beverage companies in the industry, which has led to a stronger sense of community. Currently, we share our facility with Trygg Collective.”

Gagan explained while emphasizing that it was also important to him that they gave back to the community through working with Pacific Autism Family Network and Kids Up Front.

His vision for Drink Mindset involves expanding its reach across Canada. They’re also excited to explore non-alcoholic cocktails and freezies infused with CBD.
